Operating Principle of Conveyor Zero Speed Switch:

Speed sensor (Inductive Proximity Switch) is placed in close proximity of the rotating object. On this object, metallic plates are fixed. Sensor detects presence of metal objects which come within the range of their oscillating field giving rise to corresponding pulses. These pulses are fed to the control unit where they are compared with the standard pulses to sense the speed. Output is in the form of relay contact.  Standard contact rating is 5 Amp resistive at 230 V AC.

In case of under speed – zero speed application built-in initial by-pass time delay is provided to allow the rotating machinery to attend the desired speed. If after this set time the motor does not attend the set speed, the relay is de-energized and the switch resets automatically when the desired speed is attained. Speed range is to be selected considering normal running speed of the equipment and desired trip speed.

Belt Sway Switch with Indicating Lamp manufactured and exported by SMARTsaa is designed to provide to provide visual Lamp indication as well as contact O/P when conveyor belt sways beyond limit. The Indicating Lamp gives visual indication of operated switch from distance. Additionally small gap of approx. 200 mm is to be kept between belt edge and roller for normal allowable swaying of belt. When conveyor belt sways beyond limit, the roller is pushed by the belt edge and the switch is operated. Touch Switch for Belt Sway Detection / BELT MISALIGNMENT SENSOR: Series: TS is designed to detect tracking and misalignment problems on bucket elevators and conveyors. It consists of Sensor and Control Unit. The sensor is to be mounted such that when a belt misaligns or a pulley moves over and pushes the sensor face, the switch detects the movement and potential free relay contact is actuated in control unit.The relay contact is used to generate alarm and shutdown the machine.

The face of the sensor is made from hardened stainless steel, so that there is virtually no wear when a belt contacts it. The sensor is not affected by dust or material build up and will still work when completely covered by material.
Sensors are normally installed in pairs on opposite sides of the machine. Usually a pair of sensors at each pulley is used, but additional pairs can be installed as required at location where belt misalignment is possible.
